![]() ![]() While there is some new material reported in the Dead Space Remake compared to the original, such as Isaac Clarke getting a voice (by Gunner Wright) and gameplay elements have been enhanced, it appears that the original story and puzzles remain intact. Obviously it's too soon to expect EA to look at releasing Mass Effect again, but imagine if this design approach was taken with the first game.I can imagine stuff like extra NPCs onboard the Normandy who could be interacted with, the Mako missions being revamped to make the planets and buildings more unique (or even throwing in the odd Hammerhead mission alongside them for variety), and optional side missions being reworked to tie them to later games better. How Long is Dead Space Remake? Time To Beat/Complete All in all, it's quite spectacular work that's been done, and I find myself thinking that this is exactly the sort of treatment I'd want to see 'Knights of the Old Republic' get.AND Mass Effect, for that matter. ![]() Gameplay mechanics and I think some enemies from the later games have been worked in (along with some entirely new stuff) and levels adjusted to accommodate them accordingly, extra audio logs and lore elements have been added to tie the game to the sequels better.oh, and protagonist Isaac Clarke is no longer silent, so the entire game's dialogue has been rewritten to allow him to have active conversations with the rest of the crew. So what exactly have they done with this remake, exactly? Effectively it's a reimagining of the 2008 game (which I should note IS still available and playable, so it's not like you can't go back to it if you want).the bulk of the original experience is there, but the beats have been changed slightly, with altered levels (including the complete reworking of an annoying asteroid sequence) and new characters who add to the story but don't alter the overall outcome.
